Our society relies heavily on electricity and most citizens do not even know how electricity is shipped directly to their homes. But in order to allow electricity to reach millions of homes, we need a large number of people to un the wide interconnecting networks of electrical line, power plants and diverse equipments which include transformers, electrical power distribution systems, and substations. Transmission engineers are the people in charge of transmitting electrical power from generation plants to the regional or local electricity distribution operators.
